Scott's musical influences over the past thirty years have helped to develop his guitar style. Guitarists from his father Carl Nelson, to John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Scott Henderson, Allen Holdsworth, Wayne Krantz, Mike Stern and many others, have all played an important role in developing his own style. Scott's musical career started with the experimental jazz group "Airfloss" based in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, during the 70's. Over the past two decades, Nelson has brought his "fiery" style of writing and playing to stage and studio in central PA. His 2004 recording "T's Place" features great friends and players he has worked with past and present. "T's Place" compositions are all original jazz, fusion, blues, rock or any combination of the above...Scott's music is constantly evolving!
